I have 2 NXS 8-32x56 scopes and this is my first F1 scope and love it. The difference between the two is dramatic. I really like the F1 for long range target shooting but it would be good for hunting also. It depends on what you are shooting and what distance. I'm 75 and the retical at full power is much easier to see with the NX8. For precision shooting, the finer lines in the retical of the F2 scope are an advantage, but at 1000 yards I like the thicker retical cross hair marks on the F1 NX8. Much easier to see and measure for windage and drop. It also depends on the rifle and purpose. Both have pros and cons. Better to have both so you can choose according to your mission. I'm just glad I now have a F1 scope on one of my long range rifles too. You really have to look through both to understand the benefits of each.

I bought the Nightforce NX8 4-32x50 F1 as my first Nightforce. Placed on custom carbon fiber and titanium 300WM to take too Alaska to Moose and Black Bear hunt. Why in the heck did I wait so long to try Nightforce. This is the most versatile, capable, rugged, compact, clear, precise, easy to use Quality Optic I have ever purchased for a fine firearm. I have upper end Swarovski, Zeiss, Hensoldt and been through the other fine European scopes. Nightforce is a different animal! This Nightforce has made me a Convert! A Believer! A Nightforce Lover! I am buying a second Nightforce NX8 in the 2.5-20x50 F2 to place on my Deer hunting rifle! Thank you Nightforce!

I couldn't be more impressed with this rifle scope! Nightforce quality is TOP NOTCH! The scope tracks perfectly and returns to absolute zero every single time. Setting the Zero Stop is a piece of cake. I will definitely topping my other rifles with this scope. Well done Nightforce!
